Our alpine flower honey is produced in the Maira Valley, a beautiful, still wild and unspoiled valley that climbs from the Cuneo plain to the French border. Here in June, when the meadows are covered with colorful and fragrant flowers (yarrow, rhododendron, bellflower, wild thyme), the bees collect honey with unique qualities. Of a beige color tending to amber, mountain honey crystallizes rather slowly, taking on a very pleasant consistency on the palate. Its floral and slightly aromatic note makes it one of the most popular and versatile kinds of honey.
Its floral and slightly aromatic note makes it excellent in combination with mountain cheeses or lard. Also widely used as a sweetener for teas and infusions.
Store in a cool, dry and protected from light.
